Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission is ready for electronic submission in DOC (MS Word) or RTF format. In a few moments, you will have the opportunity to upload the main document as well as supplementary files. If you encounter problems with this process, please contact hapsat.society@utoronto.ca .
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. (Note that image and other media files should also be included as supplementary files.)
- Citations should conform to Chicago Manual of Style Author-Date System .
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Privacy Statement
The review process is confidential between the author, the Journal’s Editor, and the referee. The referee will remain anonymous unless he or she has waived anonymity. Only in such a case may the Editor inform the author of the referee’s identity. The copyright remains the author’s until the paper is accepted, which means the Journal’s Editor, the Publishers, and the anonymous referee must all respect that copyright and the confidentiality inherent in it. A paper under review must not be copied, circulated, or otherwise disseminated, without the author’s prior permission, and without consulting the Journal’s Editor.
